How to Enjoy the Expo with Kids! 子連れで万博楽しむ方法！ 4/5にテストランで行ってきました！ ※日本語の説明はインスタに載せてます。 I went for a test run on April 5th! First, the entrance! For the train, use the East Gate; for the shuttle bus, use the West Gate. There’s a thorough bag check, so make sure to have plenty of time. The stroller has a separate lane, so it’s better to fold it before entering. Once you enter the Big Roof Ring, the first thing to do is go up and be amazed by the view and the size of the venue! The entire ring is 2km long, so it’s best to go up and then immediately come back down. There’s an elevator, but it has a line, so folding the stroller and using the escalator is the best option. Inside the Big Roof Ring, there are Pokémon, playground equipment, and several small play areas! Among all the pavilions, the most popular one was “Nomono Kuni.” Other kid-friendly places include the Electric Power Pavilion, Sumitomo Pavilion, Pasona Pavilion, and Ghost Wonderland. You can also make reservations on the day, but it’s a competitive race, so even if you don’t get into a pavilion, just walking around is fun and there’s a lot to enjoy! The “Life Playgrounds Jellyfish Pavilion” doesn’t require reservations, and there are instruments and various things to touch and enjoy! The place where the kids had the most fun was, surprisingly, the rest area! It’s located next to WASSE at the bottom left of the map, with a trampoline-like play structure, and behind it, there are nursing rooms and other facilities. At the Yoshimoto Pavilion, there are comedy shows every day! *13:00, 15:00, 17:00 The most important thing to watch out for is food availability! In the 10 o’clock hour, most restaurants are empty, but after 11, suddenly everywhere is full. There are plenty of places to eat, but there’s a high chance of waiting, so it’s recommended to bring your own food! Many people were taking take-out and eating on benches! There are plenty of vending machines! If you bring your own water bottle, you can refill it! Additionally, some places have reservations or designated seating! *Designated seating: Coca-Cola area at the Ring Side Marketplace. *Reservations: Suntory and Kinki University restaurants at the Water Plaza Marketplace West.
