1966年に建てられたソニービルの建て替えにおいて、”建て替えプロセスもソニーらしくユニークに行いたい” との思いから、建物の解体途中を公園にするという全く新しい発想で、2018年8月9日に、都会の中にある「変わり続ける実験的な公園」として開園しました。

Ginza Sony Park opened on August 9, 2018 as a continually transforming experimental park in the middle of the city, during the reconstruction of the Sony Building built in 1966. It emerged from the hope of carrying out even the reconstruction process in a unique way befitting Sony and the completely new idea of making a park from a building under demolition.
